Stuck!

So, I hope you all took notice of the picture on the right of my last post. If not, its just below this one anyway. On the right side of the picture you'll notice a deck on the second floor, and a roof leading to the parking lot. Also attached to the porch is a rope and a bag that can be pulled between the inn and the restaurant. I bring this up because yesterday I got stuck on that deck for ten minutes!
See, no one told me that if you let the door slam shut behind you like it wants to, then you'll be locked out. So when I went out to use the "pully bag" (yes, they actually call it that) I let the door swing shut. After using the bag, I went to the door, and found out that I was stuck. I realized that the house was empty, so I climbed over the porch-railing, and walked along the roof to the edge and looked down into the four foot rock filled chasm between me and the cars, and quickly went back to safety on the deck! How did I get off you ask? I sat there and yelled for Nancy down in the kitchen to come rescue me. She didn't hear me for a good ten minutes but she finally came up and got me off. YAY!!! In other news, someone stole the eagle totem pole from the front porch! How weird is that! Stupid kids! I bet that will be like stevens stop sign. It just sits there and no one knows what to do with it when they're trying to clean out years from now.

Budget Host Gold Eagle Inn

Hey everyone! Its no great secret that I quit my job, but there are a few of you that probably don’t know that I have a new one.
After getting fed up with long taxing and tiring hours, and rude supervisors, and other stressors, I quit and will never look back.
So, I started my search for a new and better job by calling both career links, and manpower and readjusting the hours I had available. I also came away with the idea of working as a secretary in a school or hospital. I had gotten all the information and had everything filled out and sent when I thought of applying for the second time at a hotel on the Allegheny Boulevard. Apparently my friend Megan had recommended me to her boss. My second application went strait through and I started training on Tuesday. My job at the “Budget Host Golden Eagle Inn” seems pretty simple. I simply take inventory of the restaurant and hotel for the previous day, check people into the hotel, and answer the phones. Plus, when my job watching Sammy is over in a month or so, I can easily pick up hours as a dishwasher or something else in the Inn! “I think I’m gonna like it here!”
Just an aside, The Gold Eagle reminds me of a summer camp or something like it. It has a rustic wooden bridge, and a set of shallow wooden steps that remind me of my first summer camp!

“What did I ever see in Mikes,
Well to be honest it was sometimes nice
But still it wasn't worth the awful price
It was rough from the start;
Broken feet
Broken back
Broken neck
What did I ever see in mikes?”

Rolling

March has been pretty uneventful. The one thing that happened, took place on Monday. It was one of those Gross and foggy days (that was actually not cold), when no one wants to go outside. Day after day, I had tried to get Sam to play outside with me. But for some reason he thought it was a great day to ride his tractor and scooter on the patio. So, we got all trussed up and had been playing for about a half hour when he got the idea to roll down the hill between the shed and the house, and before i noticed he had gone sliding and rolling down the length of the hill. Then deciding that that was lots of fun, he ran across the yard to the other hill that ends in a great big drop and started rolling down. He was about half way across the yard when i saw what he was going to do, and ran interception. I caught him up and decided that it was time for a bath. Lessons learned from this event? Watch the boy! Never leave your eyes off the small boy heading for danger!

In other news, Zadd, Jake, Kari, Brian and i played "Hand and Foot" the other day, and i discovered that Kari is the Queen of the game. She beat the living daylights out of us all.!. I also realize how very much I miss my Angie (Frost) Bastings! '_' I'm thinking more and more about Denver and becoming a flight attendant. Well, lots to think about in the coming months!

Deer and Ditches

So, yesterday I learned a lesson on deer and ditches. I was on my way to babysit Samuel Blair Adams Hindman when rounding a curve, I saw a gigantic deer and hit the brake. Needless to say, I slid on ice and landed in a two foot deep ditch.
After hitching a ride with one of Kelseys friends I called somone to tow my car out of the ditch. Luckily, there is no damage to the body of my beautious baby focus. my front passenger side wheel cover does need replaced.
I' starting to think that tire is cursed, because the last time I had a problem with "babe" it was that same wheel cover!

January

Well, January is half over! which means the end of the snow is ever closer! YAY!!! I'm really busy with Mikes supermarket, and babysitting Sammy, and to make it all worse i have trouble getting the whole way to his house. Today i got to the very top of the hill and slid backwards, managing to park over by their stable. How i'll get out of there i don't know!
I'm really excited and ready to find a new job this month. Hopefully it'll be a nine to five job, and not have weekends so i can find a second job in that time. All said, i should be able to get an apartment in the next few months, even sooner if i find a roommate. Hmmmm now lets see. . who could i get to do that? . . . Katie roomy!

Blogging

Well, i decided to start this blog. The main reason being that most of my friends and family are scattered across the country, and I'm begining to lose touch with you all. So, I encourage you all to check in on my blog every one in a while and maybe even start your own so i can look in after you. I hope you're all well and happy this Christmas.
